Autumn Double Bill

As our production was performed close to Remembrance Day and the commemoration of the end of WWI, and the 100 year anniversary since women got the vote, we thought it timely to make these anniversaries with What Did you Do in the Great War Mummy? for our first act. This was a compilation of readings from the time, accompanied by images of the period, which showed how women contributed to the war effort but continued their campaign to achieve the suffrage.

The second act was based not on drama but on books. The Reading Group, by well-known writer Fay Weldon, was a witty, astutely observed study of sexual politics in contemporary society which centred on an all-female reading group
